(RIT) Room Integrity Performance Testing
Trouble maintaining pressure and air exchanges when construction is complete? RIT testing is performed during the construction process prior to any HVAC system being started up. It is to make sure the construction of the room is sealed enough for it to hold the pressures that will be adjusted to design air flows during final balancing. We use our fan wall system to pressurize the rooms, identify leaks for repair and ensure they can hold the pressure offsets before system startups. We have done this on many of the healthcare facilities we work on and have made tremendous improvements in achieving pressures and avoiding delays, impacting adjacent areas and saving costs to remedy the issues.
